Funded by six Member Governments, their work began with building, and now maintaining, cemeteries at 23,000 locations all over the world.

With a history spanning over 100 years, Brookwood Military Cemetery is owned by the Commission and is the largest Commonwealth war cemetery in the United Kingdom, covering approximately 37 acres.
